Pat D’arcy (Tyrone County Board Chairman)

Welcome to Campa Chormaic. As Chairman of the Tyrone County Board it gives me great pleasure to support the annual Campa Chormaic events in the Brantry in memory of the late great Cormac McAnallen.

Cormac’s sudden death was a tragic loss for his family and C.L.C.G. It is right and fitting his name will live on as a source of inspiration for new innovation important to everyone involved in the promotion of our Gaelic Games and Irish Culture.

The establishment of Campa Chormaic brings to life a new annual event which embodies all that Cormac loved and stood for, his love of the Irish Language, Gaelic Games and all things Irish. Campa Chormaic was a great success in its inaugural year and I have no doubt it will develop as a significant national and international cultural event in the calendar of all Gaels at home and abroad.

“Campa Chormaic gave young girls brilliant opportunities to develop their Camogie Skills. As well as that, as an Irish speaker, it was brilliant the way that learning the Irish Language was at the heart of everything.”

Carla Doherty (Antrim Camogie Player and Campa Chormaic Coach)

“I thoroughly enjoyed Campa Chormaic last year. I saw language skills and athletic skills being passed on from one generation to the next. Long live Campa Chormaic.”

Jarlath Burns (Armagh Winning Captain 1999)

“I wish every success to your endeavours in CampaChormaic to regaelicise Tyrone.”

Ferdia Mac an Fháilí (Acting Chief Executive Office, Foras na Gaeilge)
